100 Ways Your Child Can Learn Through Play

By Georgina Durrant

I’m so excited about writing this! I’ve had a few people asking when they can pre-order my FIRST EVER book 100 Ways Your Child Can Learn Through Play and I’m really keen for my very lovely families of the children I tutor to be the first to get to pre-order the book!

So if you would like to put your name on the list to be notified when you can pre-order my book, fill in this form on my blog The SEN Resources Blog

It’s called ‘100 Ways Your Child Can Learn Through Play (Fun Activities for Children With SEN )’ and it’s being published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers (Hachette). The book, as the title suggests, is literally packed full of activities you can do at home with your children to help them develop important skills such as fine motor skills, speech/lang/communication, social skills and working memory.

It’s also illustrated by my best friend, twin brother and amazing artist Chris Barnes! And this is the first image I’ve been able to share with you!

Who is ‘100 Ways Your Child Can Learn Through Play’ for?

You! My wonderful and very loyal followers! I would love you to use it like a recipe book for play, that you can pop on your kitchen table or classroom desk and choose fun activities that you and your children can do together. It’s also a way of helping you feel less guilty when someone thinks your child is ‘just playing’…as there is no such thing as just playing.. I want to show you that through playing your child is developing a whole range of skills that are really important! There’s activities in the book for all situations, for example, in the garden, for rainy days and for times your child might need to sit still.

So if you would like to, pop your name and email address in this form on my blog here and I’ll email when you can pre-order it!
